Our Eight Step SEO Strategy at BJAC Interactive
Step 1, Target markets and Requirements
Our focus at BJAC INTERACTIVE, is to look at your current target markets if you have a current website or to determine the markets, if your website is in the development stage. Most marketing campaigns fail at this very first step because they don't have a clearly defined target market. Even worse, your website could be exposed to the wrong target markets possibly resulting in traffic but not generating sales or leads. Historically, defining a target market is determined by collecting demographic data on sex, age, geographical locations and their needs or wants. It will be the needs or wants that we will be targeting. We also want to ask why these needs or wants are not being met. Knowing this information will help us define a content strategy and prioritize the content to bring to the forefront.
Defining a target market must be completed prior to any keyword research for two reasons. First, it provides a content strategy. This goes directly into a site plan and beyond regular SEO. Providing useful and relevant content is link bait. Let's take a car website, for example. There can be many articles on cars, from makes, models, years, car maintenance, car care, car accessories and the list can go on. My planned target is families with limited budgets. If I know, that people are looking for only fuel efficient and economical vehicles for under $10,000 then we would have articles more specifically on those topics. This would allow us to target this specific group in the population, giving other content a lower priority.
Second, discovery of targeted keywords. We do only keyword research based on what your target audience wants. We will look at what your website currently is targeting and see what target is not be met.
Step 2, Keyword Research
Now that we have a better understanding of the needs and requirements of your target audience, we will do specific keyword research analysis. What will be compiled is an extensive list and it may even be expanded but we will have the keyword list and the associated search volume per keyword per month.
Step 3, Priorities, Opportunities and Gaps check
We will further breakdown your websites keywords into categories and will prioritize keywords with heavy search volume and other keywords having moderate search volume. The priority of these keywords will be utilized for the SEO content strategy on your website. We will look at the estimated search volume and referral volume of the website and get a sense of what is doing well and what is not. We will find the Opportunities and the Gaps. Opportunities are areas where your target market is searching but their is no content on your website to attract them. Gaps are where there is content on your website for the keyword term but very little referral traffic to the content compared to the search volume. For this analysis, we will determine the opportunities that are available from the gap areas on the website.
Step 4, Determine your competitors
We utilize a number of tools to determine your competitors. Simply doing searches on Google or Yahoo is not enough because rankings fluctuate, results are often geo-targeted, don’t often equal targeted traffic, sales or conversions. When we determine your competitors, we will do a full analysis to uncover website features, content and an SEO Strategy that we will build into your site that will outrank your competitors.
Step 5, Analyzing competitors
We will slice and dice your competitors in different ways to determine the search engine domination that your competitors currently have achieved and maintained. We want to look at the big picture, not just Title tags and in bound links but especially the features, tools and social visibility that your competitors have. We will examine in detail the successful features of your competitors and the areas they are lacking in. This will better target niches that have not yet been capitalized on or to refine your current niche. Included in all of our SEO packages, we will give a full competitor analysis report of what we find and what we determine the questions to ask such as:
What features do your competitors have that you don’t?
Does the current content on your competitor’s website currently serve your target markets?
How active is your competitors in the social marketing area?
Do they have proper targeted landing pages with the keywords that you are targeting?
What is the call-to-action on the competitors landing pages?
What are the features that would encourage a visitor to return to their website?
In detail, we will also conduct and complete an SEO comparison, an inbound link comparison, and a traffic comparison between your competitors and your website.
Step 6, Customized SEO Strategy
At this point we will provide a SEO Strategy document, to give you a good sense of what is going on, including the problems and how the current website stacks up against the competition. The Gaps will be listed with content for the given keywords that are performing but not performing well. The Opportunities will be listed with keywords where there is no content but are areas to be considered.
We will determine your top competitors and what they have maintained to be top competitors.
In tailoring your custom SEO Strategy, we will determine what features and content the competitors have and we would look into using some of these features for you own site. If there was any negative sediment with your site, it will be identified and make suggestions to correcting it. If there was negative sediment that was found with the competitors, it could also be an areas where you could capitalize on with what the target market wants.
Step 7, Must have recommendations
This is the nuts and bolts of what we do. We will make a custom set of specific product focused recommendations and strategies for gaining search traffic. Here’s some of the recommendations that we may have for a website. If it’s a large website, there maybe different aspects of SEO for specific people updating a website such as SEO for designers, writers or editorialists and business development. Press release optimization and strategy, SEO for the long-term instead of quick fixes. If a CMS is used, we wiil make any recommendations on any impairment of the SEO and other Risks and Avoidances.
Step 8, Priorities and Summarization
We will prioritize item by item with the more labor intensive and time consuming items first. We will lay out the plan and a day to day prioritization with a summary on the problems and the solutions. We will give a custom set of recommendations created specifically to meet your individual visibility needs. Lets get started, contact us for a free no obligation quote.

This question has been asked by many businesses who are considering to use the internet as a marketing tool. The number of estimates concerning the size of the web include the number of people online, the number of web pages, the number of domains and it all shows exponential growth. From a study back in July 2000 by a company Cyvellience, gave the following statistical information. There was approximately 2.1 Billion uniquely accessible pages on the internet at that time with 7.3 million unique pages added each day. Cyveillance estimated that the number of Web pages would have doubled to 4 billion by early 2001. Today this figure must be in the Billions. Google alone has indexed over 8 Billion pages. No one knows exactly what the figure is today but it must be enormous. It all shows incredible EXPONENTIAL GROWTH.
